Grand Qualifier Oct. 26, 2008

Grand Lake proved to be windy and rough once again for the boys of Arkansas. This was the second Oklahoma qualifier of the year and the third for the semester. Turner Hall and Stephen Mouton pattern payed of in the end and the scored there first and long overdue victory. The sophmore duo focused on the jig for most of there fish and also added some earlier topwater bites to there bag.

Tenkiller Qualifier Sept 28th, 2008

Another adventure in the great state of Oklahoma! University of Arkansas anglers were given a tough bluebird, calm day to compete, but it was an improvement over the last time they visited Tenkiller. This was the largest turnout in club history with 10 boats and 6 limits. The anglers battled it out and 9 ozs. ended up determining the top position. Bill Bond said, "I really love this lake and it is perfect for a club our size. I just wish that I could have caught a couple more above the slot length." Kazuki and Ryan Toomer had a good showing, bringing in a limit anchored by a solid smallmouth. They caught there fish dropshotting  in the dam area. Taylor Denniston and Mook Miller had another good showing, but just couldn't find that last kicker to put them on top. Here's how they finished:

 August 24th Arkansas River Ozark Pool

The first event of the year kicked off at the Arkansas river outside of Alma, Arkansas. Russ Taylor and Ryan Toomer took the qualifier by storm and won the first event. Boats were everywhere due to other tournaments on the pool. Bodie Drake and Matt Graves took second and were followed up by Taylor Denniston and Mook Miller.
